This Saturday, November 26 is Spend Local Day.

On this day, shoppers across the country are encouraged to visit local businesses and see what they have to offer.

Businesses in your community pay local taxes, provide jobs for local workers and support local causes. In fact, for every $100 spent in locally owned, independent stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll and other expenditures (according to small-business advocacy group The 3/50 Project).

Socket held a ceremony Wednesday, October 19, to celebrate the groundbreaking of its fiber-to-the-home network in rural Boone and Callway Counties.

The event was held at the Millersburg Christian Church, the site of one of Socket's huts to house equipment for the new network.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon praised the project and other efforts to expand broadband throughout Missouri.

We're setting up today for the Jefferson City Business Showcase this Thursday, October 6.

Come check out our new fax-to-email service and find out how you can ditch that clunky old fax machine for good.

A special congratulations to Socket business clients who have been nominated for special awards! Winners will be announced at the show.
