Early this morning, damaging storm winds blew through Sedalia, MO, causing significant destruction at the Missouri State Fair.

Although many attractions (like the Socket Pig Races at left) suffered damages, the Fair reopened today at 3 p.m. and continues through the weekend.

All events and concerts are expected to continue as scheduled.

The Missouri State Fair is underway in Sedalia, MO.

We're proud to once again sponsor the Pig Races, held every day in the large tent next to the Dairy Center. Come watch the piggies race around the track for an Oreo cookie!

Our team will also be in attendance on August 11, 13 and 20 with plenty of balloons and temporary tattoos for the young and young-at-heart.

Socket employees raised $271.72 for the 9th annual Back 2 School Bash in Hallsville!

This event, sponsored by the Hallsville Inter-Church Council, provides school supplies free of charge to approximately 500 area children. It will be held Saturday, August 6, at Tribble Park.

You see, the cause is an important one to our friend Ralph, who provides janitorial services for our Columbia office. Ralph shows up here at 5:30 AM every day to clean up our messes and keep the place looking great. So this is our way of saying thanks.
