The weekend of June 17 was an exciting time for the community of Fulton. As vendors set up their booths on that Friday and Saturday, the people of Fulton and surrounding areas crowded the historic brick streets of downtown. Socket was more than happy to be a part of such a festive weekend and to engage with the good people of Fulton and surrounding areas.

Yee Haw! Socket was out at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club for the 2011 Jefferson City Chamber Golf Tournament Monday, June 20. The Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce added some excitement to the atmosphere of the tournament by asking each of the hole sponsors to come up with a fun, creative theme for their hole.

Dressed up like hillbillies for Socket's hole theme, Socketeers Steve, Audrey and Paige gave koozies and pens to all the golf teams as they stopped to play a quick game of hillbilly golf.

As soon as the tornado disaster in Joplin made headline news last Sunday, May 22, Socket employees quickly came together to do all they could to help.

Socket organized a tornado relief drop-off, which allowed people from around the area to drop off items such as clothing, toiletries and toys. Also, throughout the week, Socket held several small company fundraising events in order to raise money for Joplin relief.
