Meet Jason Vander Veen, Residential Supervisor!

Jason Vanderveen

Every month, Socket employees nominate and vote on a co-worker who best exemplifies our Core Values and Beliefs. This month, we picked Jason Vander Veen, Residential Supervisor.

By the way, “Residential Supervisor” is actually short for “Residential Customer Service and Tech Support Supervisor” – quite the mouthful! Jason oversees both sections simultaneously, a talent that puts even the most ambidextrous among us to shame.

“Even though he’s constantly neck deep in work, he’s always willing to answer a question, or lighten up your day with a quick joke,” said a co-worker who nominated him. “And he’s always able to answer the most difficult questions, even if the answer is always 42.” (That’s a Douglas Adams reference, for those unfamiliar. He’s a bit of a fan).

Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jason moved to Missouri and graduated from Jefferson City High School. When not answering his fellow Socketeers’ questions about Life, the Universe and Everything (Douglas Adams again), he can be found playing Settlers of Catan, gushing about his adorable kids, or making some delicious, nutritious spaghetti.

While his talents can be intimidating, don’t worry; he’s Mostly Harmless (sorry, last one)! Thanks for all you do, Jason, and congratulations on your award!
