Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) offers users a faster digital connection to the internet. This eliminates slower speeds and line noise caused by analog lines.

ISDN uses special high-speed digital phone lines with two available 64K channels of digital voice/data bandwidth. The channels can be combined for a 128K connection.

High-Speed Data Access: Up to 10 times faster than a 28.8 Kbps analog dial-up modem connection.
Information Transfer: Information is now transferred over digital lines instead of an analog connection. This will eliminate a lot of line noise problems and make downloads faster.

ISDN connections are substantially faster than a dial-up connection, although the numbers, 56K versus 64K, do not reflect it.
