Socket launches fiber expansion in Boonville

Socket is proud to announce the expansion of its fiber-optic broadband network throughout Boonville, which will bring internet speeds up to one gigabit per second to local residents.

The Columbia-based telecommunications provider expanded its fiber-optic network to Boonville businesses earlier this year, and now plans to offer the service to residential customers as well.

“We know many people in Boonville are eager for faster internet, and we’re excited to bring fiber to residents there,” said George Pfenenger, Socket CEO and co-owner. “We believe our local service and support will be a great fit for the area.”

Socket has chosen six potential expansion areas in Boonville and is actively seeking more neighborhoods to add to that list. Those interested in the service can visit www.socket.net/fiberhood to sign up or request expansion to their area.

Founded in 1994, Socket is a Missouri-based telephone and internet service provider with the largest service area in the state.
