Socket announces expansion to Boonville

Socket is proud to announce the expansion of its fiber broadband network to Boonville, which brings ultra-fast internet and reliable telephone service to nearly 150 area businesses.

With speeds up to one gigabit per second or even faster, fiber-optic technology is the fastest, most reliable connection available. Its large bandwidth capacity is considered future-proof and will accommodate increased internet usage for decades to come.

“We’re very excited to expand our services here,” said George Pfenenger, Socket CEO and co-owner. “We hear from many businesses that want another choice in providers, and we believe our local service and support are a great fit for Boonville.”

Construction on the expansion project began earlier this month. Socket chose to expand to Boonville due to a need for more high-speed internet options in the area and the receptiveness of area officials and technology experts.

“Companies in Boonville have been struggling to compete due to a lack of commercial grade internet services,” said Jorge Vizcarralogos, owner of local technology company ICS LLC. “A faster and more reliable fiber-based internet service can provide Boonville companies with the capability to expand to the cloud with greater confidence.”
