SOCKET ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION IN EMERGENCY BROADBAND BENEFIT PROGRAM

(COLUMBIA, MO) – Socket will participate in the federal government’s Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBBP). The program is designed to assist families and individuals that are struggling to pay for internet service due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households. The EBB is limited to one monthly service discount per location, for the life of the program. Interested individuals can verify eligibility, apply and find more information at getemergencybroadband.org. Socket will utilize the Lifeline National Verifier to confirm program eligibility. Once individuals have applied, please call our customer service at 573-817-0000 option 1, and ask for our EBB Specialist to complete your application.
