Socket honors Vandalia native Adam Buchmeier

Socket, a Missouri-based telephone and Internet service provider, recently recognized Vandalia native Adam Buchmeier as the recipient of its monthly You-Make-The-Difference award. Each month, Socket employees nominate co-workers for the award and then vote on one winner who best reflects Socket’s Core Values and Beliefs.

Buchmeier joined Socket in 2015 as a Field Services Technician, and handles installations for new business and residential customers, as well as troubleshooting and repairing any physical issues.

“He's a very respectful and knowledgeable man, and he trained me with confidence," said a coworker who nominated him for the award.

In his free time, Adam enjoys tinkering with lawnmowers, refurbishing old furniture, and spending time with his family, including his 13-year-old granddaughter.

“My favorite part of working at Socket is the customers, hands down,” said Buchmeier. “I really enjoy going out there and making them happy.”
