Ribbon Cutting at Memorial Park

On Thursday, May 7th, Socket officially launched a free wireless hotspot in Memorial Park, near downtown Fulton. And what better way to do that than with a party?

Socketeers, Chamber members and Fulton residents all came out for free food and raffles, while kids enjoyed the bouncehouse and nearby splash park. Luckily, the weather stayed mostly sunny and warm - and when a twenty-minute downpour struck, the kids seemed to enjoy it just as much as the other entertainment!

A big thanks to the Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce for helping with the official ribbon cutting, and Clear 99 for their awesome live broadcast of the event. You can read all about the event in the Fulton Sun's article.

Socket's free public WiFi will allow park visitors to browse the web, watch videos and more on their mobile devices. To learn more about the Fiber project that made this possible, visit www.socket.net/fiber.
