FOX Corporation Contract Negotiation

December 31, 2019

(COLUMBIA, MO) –Service providers across the nation are currently in negotiation with FOX Corporation to continue to offer their cable networks, including FOX News Channel, FOX Business, FOX Sports 1, and FOX Sports 2. Socket TV subscribers are not at risk of losing any of those networks prior to the December 31, 2019 deadline because FOX must contractually provide the signals through this date. However, at that time, if Socket does not feel that the arrangement Fox is proposing is the right thing for our customers and we do not have a reasonable agreement or extension in place, FOX may choose to pull their networks from our customers. This potential blackout would occur after 11:59 PM December 31, 2019. Socket is hopeful a resolution will be in place quickly. FOX Sports Midwest will not be affected.

Founded in 1994, Socket is a Missouri-based telephone, video, and internet service provider with the largest service area in the state. Socket is a privately held company that provides families and businesses a choice for local and long-distance phone and internet service. It combines the highest quality customer service with in-depth technical knowledge. Socket’s customers enjoy simple billing and quick, friendly service.
