Congratulations to Shawn Guest, Socket’s You-Make-The-Difference Award winner for December!

Shawn specializes in locates and survey work, and goes out into the field to figure out the finer details of how we’re bringing fiber to new areas. He’s also hands-on, even helping to physically dig the trenches for fiber when circumstances require it!

“Shawn’s strongly impacted our performance by stressing quality workmanship and productivity,” said a coworker who nominated him.

“He does so much ‘behind-the-scenes’ work to make our fiber builds happen; he’s a great advocate in the field for Socket and our contractors,” said another.

Shawn lives in Columbia with his wife and two children – one of whom, Carson, started at Socket this summer in the field services department! Shawn’s a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and enjoys “starting household projects and getting them to about 90% completion” in his free time.

“My favorite thing about Socket is probably my coworkers,” said Shawn. “We’re all working together toward a bigger goal – it’s all about getting the best service to the customer.”
