Adam Buchmeier

Congratulations to Adam Buchmeier, Field Services Supervisor, on being named Socket’s You-Make-The-Difference award winner for December!

Adam first heard about Socket as a dial up customer in the late 90’s while living in Vandalia, MO. A
few years later he got word that Socket was expanding a fiber network into the Fulton and Millersburg area, and was looking to get back into the telecom world after working for another telecom company. In August of 2015 he decided to apply, and the rest is history!

As a Field Services Supervisor, Adam says he is a part of a team of great people providing internet, phone, and TV services to Socket’s customers.

One coworker that nominated him says that Adam is one of the best supervisors he’s had.

“Over the last 22 years, I've had enough supervisors to have seen the best and the worst of what management can offer. Adam is, without a doubt, one of the best I have witnessed. The business side couldn't run without his patience and expertise. When he's gone, everyone feels exactly how much weight he carries when he's here. From the miniscule things like keeping water stocked for the techs at the warehouse, to the labor and experience he brings to the tech side.”

When Adam isn’t working, he’s spending time with his wife Nancy, as well as his two sons and one granddaughter who all live in Columbia. Him and his wife have two outdoor cats and recently inherited two more, to which he says they are all “spoiled rotten!”. Adam also enjoys working on old tractors, lawnmowers, and refurbishing old furniture.

Adam says he enjoys coming to work because he’s part of a team that takes customer service to a higher level. Adam says, “I think this is what sets Socket above other internet service providers. We really care about our customers”.
