The frequency and method in which your account is billed will also stay the same. If you have a prepaid account, you will not receive an invoice until your account is up for renewal. When is my Internet payment due to Socket? Please call 1-800-762-5383 or send in payment via credit/debit card or check by the 20th of the month your bill is received. Do I need to change my dial-up number? No, the local dial-up number you currently use for the Internet will NOT need to change. You will not experience any downtime during the transition of your new Socket Dial-up Internet service. Does my e-mail address change? Not yet. However, within the next 12 months your @tekwave.us or @tek-web.com e-mail address will need to change to an @socket.net. Our friendly support agents will help to make this transition as smooth as possible. Please call if you would like to change your e-mail address immediately at 1-800-762-5383. Will I lose any old e-mails? There should be no loss of messages during the Wednesday, April 16, 2008 e-mail transfer. If you notice any missing messages, please contact Socket tech support at 1-800-762-5383. How do I continue to check my Pneumatek e-mail account? If you do not already, please begin using Outlook Express to manage your @tekwave.us or @tek-web.com e-mail. Our tech support agents are standing by to help you set up your Outlook program if you need assistance. Socket's Web Mail Center is also available to check and send your e-mail when you are away from your normal computer. Log in by following the directions below:
2 - Enter in your entire e-mail address (including @tekwave.us or @tek-web.com). 3 - Enter in your password. 4 - IMPORTANT: Change the Mail Server to mail.tekwave.us or mail.tek-web.com. To help filter unsolicited junk mail from reaching your e-mail address, Socket blocks the following executable files which are commonly used for harmful virus transfer: .exe, .cpl, .pif, .vbs, hta, cmd, .bat, and .scr. You can view and pay your account ONLINE at MY ACCOUNT or simply set up an automatic payment. Automatic withdrawals through credit card or direct debit makes paying your Socket bill easy.
