  • Job growth:

We'll have additional technical, engineering type of work as well as physical construction. Part of this process is we are going it be out there burying brand new fiber-optic cabling in the ground throughout parts of Callaway County. So, it will be construction labor. We'll be out there boring in the ground and bringing it directly to people's homes.

  • Future fiber expansion:

There's big plans - this is just a starting block for us - we' are hoping this will be build and expand. We think there are more and more communities that need this exact same type of service - so we are hoping for us it's really exciting because it's kind of a starting point or a launching point to start bringing more services like this to rural Missouri.

  • More than just Internet:

People in other parts of the country can stay in tune to their families who have chosen to live in rural communities. But in addition to that, it's about the telemedicine, the distance learning, the home security systems that we can bring through these services. It's more than just the Internet.

  • Why fiber is important to rural communities:

Since our inception 15 years ago, we have been real focused on the smaller markets that have been ignored outside of Kansas City and St. Louis. It's our home. Our relatives, our friends, our family are living out in these communities so it's important to try to bring these technologies out to them so they can compete both economically - with healthcare, education and all these different components - with the larger cities.
