Left in the dark
ProEnergy was growing rapidly. The company outgrew its old phone system and telecom services, and IT Manager Frank Hubbell was shocked to find out the incumbent telephone provider couldn’t keep up. They didn’t offer the local PRI the company needed in Sedalia to power its new phone system. So Hubbell searched for a new provider. A provider who understood ProEnergy’s global mission, but would work with the company on a local level.

Flipping the switch
ProEnergy turned to Socket— another local Missouri company. After the initial upgrade, more services were entrusted to Socket, including a comprehensive MPLS network to connect its multi-state offices. The technology allows ProEnergy’s team to route calls and share files quickly between offices all over the world. “I like the accessibility of Socket’s team,” says Hubbell. “If something comes up, I just call my account rep Dave to take care of it. He gives me quick, honest answers.”
